A living historians journey through the stories heard from WWII veterans, many who have stood their last watch. From the Normandy invasion to the Battle of the Buldge to the drive into Germany, there are stories of every day people from the greatest generation striving to make the world a safer place. There is also a look at some of the reenactments that we shared with these veterans, stories from the family, and a look into life during the war era.

Meet the Author
T.E. Moeller
T.E. Moeller is a living historian and educator who has spent more than a decade preserving the stories of America’s World War II generation. As Commanding Officer of Baker Company, 5th Ranger Infantry Battalion (Reenacted), he has guided young men through the discipline, history, and responsibility of honoring the soldiers of the European Theater.
His work in living history has taken him to major national events, including D‑Day Conneaut and programs at the National World War II Museum and the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. Through conversations with veterans, hands‑on interpretation, and years of field experience, he has helped bring the stories of ordinary servicemen to new audiences.
He lives in Ohio, where he continues to write, teach, and share the legacy of the Greatest Generation with reenactors, students, and future historians.
History is not merely what happened.
It is what we choose to remember.
